MassPIRG and 350Mass invite you to a webinar exploring transportation needs and resources in greater Lowell, to be held on December 5, 12:30-1:30 p.m.
Their goal is for concerned and informed local people and regional experts to exchange ideas and information about the region’s transportation resources and needs.
Better public transit and improved bike/pedestrian facilities are very important for dealing with climate change, enhancing public health and addressing social injustices. Every region in Massachusetts has different needs and opportunities, however, and we need your help in identifying them in Greater Lowell.
They hope this discussion will include possible joint projects, and building support for major increases in state and local funding for better transportation. The webinar will include presentations by representatives of UMass Lowell, Crosstown Connect (which serves towns like Acton and Littleton), and Middlesex 3 Coalition.
The organizers of the webinar are MassPIRG and 350Mass (which advocates for major actions on climate change).
To participate in the webinar please RSVP as soon as possible to Kirstie Pecci, Staff Attorney, MassPIRG, firstname.lastname@example.org
